Family & Friends Day

In a two-day celebration, the companies of the Echterhage Group dedicated the new office and production building at Hönnestraße 45 and celebrated the completion of the extensive remodeling and additions to the other buildings in the Neuenrade-Küntrop Industrial Park.

As a prelude, there was a ceremonial reception on Friday night, the 21st of September, for customers of the corporate group. About 120 invited guests enjoyed the delicious buffet in an informal atmosphere, heard short speeches given by Ruth and Jürgen Echterhage, and listened to the sounds of the jazz duo consisting of Ludwig Kirchhoff-Stewens (saxophone) and Jürgen Nuffer (guitar). Of course, the guests were also able to get a close look at the new building.

Even on the next day, tours, live music, and delicious food were the main activities. However, the main people involved were different the next day. During the "Family & Friends Day", employees of the HBE, VSE, DST, plakart, and Ecoplan companies were provided an opportunity to leisurely introduce their friends and family to their workplace and colleagues. Due to the best late summer weather possible, there was cake, grilled food, cold drinks, and numerous activities such as company tours, a merry-go-round for children, a human table soccer tournament, etc., etc., etc...

The undisputed highlight of the day was a raffle, with the main prize being a hot air balloon ride that could be taken immediately. Peter Suchanovs, a Beinlich employee, took his coworker Silke Majus with him to lofty heights. There were also BVB soccer tickets, sightseeing flights around the Sauerland region, and many more prizes to win.

There were also numerous hardworking helpers at the stands so that the employees of the corporate group could have the day off. The youths from the Oberes Hönnetal church group in particular were able to earn well that day as parking attendants and beverage stand servers. With the money they earned, they want to fly to the World Youth Day in Sydney next year. Furthermore, the flying youths from the neighboring air sports association “Luftsportvereins Sauerland e.V.”, the oldie team from SG Balve-Garbeck, and the Garbeck community of interest members also worked hard. We would like to thank all our helpers again.
